Getting a Marriage License in Las Vegas

In order to get married in the state of Nevada, you will need a Nevada Marriage License prior to your wedding date. To obtain a license, both parties must complete an online application here (https://clerk.clarkcountynv.gov/AcclaimClerkPreApp/Home/Index).

Then appear in person before the clerk at a Clark County Marriage Bureau location. A Nevada marriage license allows a couple to marry in the state of Nevada. A licensed wedding officiant must conduct the ceremony. Along with your ID,  must present the marriage license, before the ceremony begins.

A marriage license will be issued the same day the couple applies. Your Nevada license is valid for a year. You must have your Nevada wedding within that year for it to be valid.

Both parties must present one of the following forms of identification when applying for a Nevada Marriage License:

  • Valid Driver’s License 
  • Valid State issued no driver’s ID
  • Valid passport 
  • Valid Foreign country isssued ID showing your photo and date of birth 
  • Valid Military ID
  • Valid Resident Alien Card
  • The application fee is $102, payable by cash, money order, or credit card.
